Squarespace is a US based website creation and hosting platform. Originally launched in 2004 really with a blogging focus, over time Squarespace moved to supporting more general content based websites, with ecommerce functionality being added to the platform around 2013. Squarespace is a very popular platform and currently powers around 3 million websites worldwide; it's targeted at the entry level section of the market, but there are certainly some larger brands using Squarespace to power their ecommerce offerings also.
